The Device
The DAISY Sensor is a unique camera-based technology attached to a standard cattle collar. It consists of a camera, GPS module and microcontroller powered by a rechargeable battery placed inside a robust housing. Images are collected and stored locally on the device, then extracted and processed in the cloud.
The Software
The Daisy Interactive Map is a custom machine learning algorithm that can inform the user of the presence of grass, clover, dung and bare soil in a field with high accuracy. It takes the collected data and provides a map of the pasture’s features.
